The ADM Darling midget pint without the word "Imperial" and the odd-size mouth is an extremely rare jar that is seldom found in good shape. This Scotia trademark wide mouth adjustable pint is an incredibly rare jar in a size that is next to impossible to find. This is a spectacular example! Rich aqua coloured glass with a strong green tint. Mint condition. Perfect lid and swing closure. Glass lid is more bluish than the jar. Very rough ground lip but that is how it was made. Ex. The best Canada Compass pint that I have ever seen. Rich deep aqua coloured glass with a strong blue tone. Near mint with only the tiniest imperfections. Typical rough ground lip. Correct glass insert. Insert is mint and a bit more green coloured than the jar.

An excellent example of the No Dot Crown midget pint. Clean glass with barely a scratch. Great heavy bubble over the Crown trademark. One 1/4" grinding flake. Correct glass insert and a very clean zinc band. I have sold this jar before and it remains by far the nicest example I have handled for the clarity and character of the glass.

FJ011 Straight Anchor Quart Lrg

Many jar collectors don't know there are three quite different variants of the Anchor quart. While the large angled anchor type is quite common, you never see the other two. The two rare types both have a much smaller straight anchor, a medium and a really small size. This lot has the larger of the two. An absolutely beautiful example of this jar. Super clean glass, Studded with tiny bubbles. Rough machined lip with a 1/4" flat flake. The mouths on these early machine-made jars often came out rough. Plain aqua glass insert and a good band.

FJ013 Early Eatons Crown 1/2 Gal

The earliest style of the Eatons Crown are very tough jars to find. Embossed: The T. Eaton Co Limited Toronto rear. This one is the 1/2 gal size. Heavy ground mouth with a few flakes. Some case wear to the shoulder on the writing side. A really good example of this rare jar. H.G. Co glass insert and a good zinc band.

FJ017 Lefebvre & Co - Montreal

There are a number of product jars from Montreal, that chiefly contained coffee, tea or spice. Generally these are heavy glass English-made jars. This M. Lefebvre, Globe Mills, Montreal jar is a rare and fine exception. This is clearly a North American jar. Aqua glass. Quart size. Heavy ground lip with a 1" area of chipping at the front and a 1/4" fish eye bruise rear. Some light stain. This is the only example of this jar I have seen or heard of. Rayed glass insert and a good zinc band.

FJ018 The Rose Imp Pint

The Rose pint is a scarce jar that you may not realize comes in two sizes. In this auction we have both. This lot is the imperial pint size. Marked IMP on the base. Fabulous condition. Near mint. Good clarity to the clear glass. Near mint mouth with only the tiniest flea bites; cool bubble that runs into a thread. Several lines in the body, one making a nice squiggle on the front. I can't imagine a better example. Plain aqua glass insert and a good band.

The McCormick's from London, Ontario . Mcis one of my favourite Canadian product jars. McCormicks were a confectionary that made a wide range of sweets. This was likely a candy jar. And a huge jar at that - standing 11 1/2" tall! Circa. 1910. Ground mouth. Clear coloured glass. Great Crown trademark. Near mint condition with very minor internal stain. Original lid. A scarce and attractive jar.

This lot includes three Canadian product jars. The amber one is plain. No markings but likely Erie Glassworks. Near mint with a few rubs. Matching amber lid and a good band. The Toronto Biscuit and Confectionary Co has a few flakes off the ground lip. Clear glass. Black painted tin lid. The Forest City Baking Powder from London, Ontario is a greenish aqua coloured glass. Near mint. Clear glass rayed lid. Good band but loose, so someone has added tape to make it fit tight.

A lot of four jars. The clear Anchor quart has a heavy line through the front which ends in a 1" crack. Rough machined lip with many sm flakes and lines. The 1/2" gal aqua True Fruit is near mint. Dysons is very good. The Montreal Coffee & Spice is excellent with a 1" line in the base that looks to be in-manufacture.
