Ontario Ginger Beers

GB001 Laurie's - Perth ON-118

Minimum Bid: $600

Range:$1000-1200

Sold: $1000

This solid cream Laurie's ginger beer from Perth is one of Eastern Ontario's rarest ginger beers. This is a scarce Brantford Potteries made bottle. This example is the one pictured in the book. Two 1/2" base edge flakes at the front have been professionally restored so the bottle now displays near mint. We have never offered this bottle before.

GB005 Horne - Kingston ON-68

Minimum Bid: $300

Range:$400-600

Sold: $300

This collar top style S.V. Horne is a rare Kingston ginger beer. Good examples are rarer still. This one is near mint. Note that there is an underglaze line that runs clear around the neck then forks so the ends do not meet. It is our opinion that this line is not a crack but simply a mark left from the potting. Consult the photos. Certainly one of the best examples known.

Minimum Bid: $75

Range:$100-150

Sold: $300

The next three lots include a bunch of O'Keefe's bottles. I culled out of the bunch the very best three bottles (in my opinion) for this lot. All three are in excellent conditon. The left one is labelled from the Toronto branch and has the original cap and full contents. Yum! The middle one is labelled from the Ottawa branch. Nice peachy coloured top on this one. Finally, the right one is labelled for many branches, including: Toronto, London, Kirkland Lake, Ottawa and Montreal. This one also has an original cap, different from the other. When will you ever see three such different O'Keefes like this again!
