The Patterson & Co Ginger Beer from Renfrew is one of Ontario's best. It is an extremely rare and highly-sought after bottle. The bottle itself is a rare and attractive two tone large pint made by the Brantford Potteries. This particular Patterson is in exceptional mint condition. Clearly stamped within a distinctive border. Beautiful flecked glazing to the neck and top. A stunning example of a very rare and attractive ginger beer. One of the very best in the Clayton Collection.

GB005 Reed Brothers - Guelph ON-50

A gorgeous near mint example of the blue transfer Reed Brothers Guelph. Guelph's best transfer! Perfect glaze. Strong transfer. Potstone at rear and a 1/4" base edge chip just under the transfer. You will be hard pressed to find a better example of this rare bottle.

GB006 Hinds - Orillia ON-99

The F.F. Hinds Orillia is a rare sm quart sized bottle made by the Brantford Potteries. This one came to us with a large based edge flake that was poorly filled. We had it professionally restored and it is now a beautiful example. Blurred transfer but still quite legible. An area along the right seam was not glazed. You will wait a long time to see one better.

A scarce example of the lighting stopper Tyo ginger beer from Kingston. Near mint condition. A 1"4" thin stopper hole flake on the right side has been poorly filled.1/4" thin flake off the base edge at rear. 1" section of the sharp base edge has a hairline - complete on the base and does not show. Minor stuff. One of the best examples we have ever seen of this one.

This lot contains two variants of the Dominion Soda Water bottles fom Hamilton. The one on the right is the standard two tone variant, which is quite scarce. Mint. Note the characteristic heavy line in the pottery where the glazes meet. The variant on the left is unlisted. Quite a heavy guage transfer. Heavy and terrible repair to the neck and lip. Might be the last time you see this variant.

This lot contains two Brantford Potteries marked bottles. The quart is a real clean example, but sadly some fool drilled it directly under the mark! Two variants of Toronto Pure Ginger Beers. The heavy lightning stopper type is near mint with a 1/2" section of base edge roughness at the rear and a tiny 1/8" chip on the base edge front. This is really minor stuff. The small brown top variant is quite good with a number of small base edge imperfections and a rub on the front face.

This H.J.M. (Matthews) from Tillsonburg is a rare Brantford Potteries made form. A scarce bottle that is near impossible to find in mint condition. This one has been repaired. It appears an original top was grafted in place and the paint matched on the neck and shoulder. While not a professional job, this is pretty darn good. 6" fine hairline down the left side. Despite the damage, this is a good looking bottle. Here is your chance to add a rare one to the shelf without breaking the bank.
