GB027 Cassidy's - Chatham NB-03

Minimum Bid: $300

Range:$400-600

Sold: Not

A great example of the scarce Cassidy's from Chatham NB. Near mint example with only small imperfections. There is a line that runs around under the crown rim; this is a moulding mark and not a crack. Best example we have had of this one in a long while.

GB028 Bell - St. John

Minimum Bid: $200

Range:$300-400

Sold: $275

There are only a handful of Canadian transferred whiskey jugs. This auction features two rare ones from Thomas William Bell of St.John New Brunswick. This SHAMROCK jug has "T.W.B & Co St J" in a great trademark flag. The image of the mast head and harp is great! Marked "P.O. Brien & Co, Cork" at rear under the handle. Presumably O'Brien was the whiskey maker. The jug is marked Kennedy Glasgow on base. Hairline where the handle meets the body, but otherwise excellent. A very rare jug and the first we have sold.

GB033 Givans - Moncton NB-37

Minimum Bid: $200

Range:$300-400

Sold: $200

A restored example of a dark brown top Givans from Moncton. Hard to tell the extent of the repair to the neck and lip, because the restoration is so well done. A mint one will set you back a pretty penny.

GB034 Givans - Moncton NB-36

Minimum Bid: $200

Range:$300-400

Sold: Not

The mate to the previous lot. A restored light brown top Givans Moncton. While the restoration is a good job, the lacquer used for the repair has shrunk visibly, giving the top an odd look. Still - a rare bottle that is expensive when mint. Here is your chance to put one on the shelf without breaking the bank.
