FJ001 Left-facing Beaver Pint
Minimum Bid: $1000
Range:$1500-2000
Sold: $1500

The left-facing Beaver pint is an iconic Canadian jar. If you collect jars, this is a must have. This example is special. The glass is a pale grey blue colour with heavy amber and milky swirls. I have seen a number of these jars with the milk coloured swirls but never one with amber streaking as well. 1/4″ chip off the machined lip. Well embossed. Just a tiny bit of internal stain. Clear glass insert and a good band.

FJ002 Beehive Pint
Minimum Bid: $750
Range:$1000-1500
Sold: $1350

Over the years, the Beehive jars have increased steadily in both popularity and price. The clear pints are by far the toughest of the three sizes. This one is near mint. Very clean machined lip. Good glass clarity. In fact, the glass of this one is particularly brilliant. Best possible example! Clear glass insert and a good zinc band.

A stellar example of the rare Maple Leaf Crown 1/2 gal. A beautiful example with plenty of character. Some nice whittle to the glass and some big bubbles. An early machine-made jar which exhibits the usual straw-lines common to this type. Below the crown is a sm letter “A”. Note there are variations with this jar with different mould letters. Near mint condition with only minor imperfections.

FJ006 Bright Green Beaver Ame Pint

A sweet little Ame pint size Beaver jar in a bright green coloured glass. Strongly embossed. Good glass clarity with the tiniest bit of internal stain in the base. FJ007 Colourless Beaver Imp Pint
Minimum Bid: $200
Range:$300-400
Sold: $325

This Beaver imperial pint is a scarce jar with some interesting characteristics. The base is marked IMP. The jar is very heavy with relatively thick glass. The glass is basically colourless but with subtle hints of straw. Studded with the tiniest seed bubbles. Basically mint. There are three sm marks just below the “B” which appear to be bits of extra glass that stuck to the surface. Very strongly embossed. Matching coloured glass insert and a good zinc band. A real nice example of this jar.

FJ008 Pale Green Beaver Imp Pint
Minimum Bid: $200
Range:$300-400
Sold: $275

A great example of a Beaver pint in the imperial size. A scarce jar in this size. Bright aqua coloured glass with a hint of green. Strongly embossed. Good glass clarity. Some light scratching around the animal. Perfect ground lip. Aqua glass insert and a good zinc band.

FJ009 The Diamond Quart
Minimum Bid: $200
Range:$300-400
Sold: $210

The Diamond Nova Scotia jars are rare to find in any size. Surviving specimens are inevitably damaged. This quart is in excellent condition but has a few flaws. 1/2″ hairline and 1/4″ fish eye bruise in the base. A couple of tiny dings to the body and the usual flaking to the ground lip. Despite the damage, this is a great example. The embossing is crisp and strong. The glass is free of stain and has some character to it. Comes with a clear Beaver style button lid and a good zinc band. First one of these we have sold in a very long time.

FJ010 Beehive Quart

FJ013 Colourless Beaver Ame Pint
Minimum Bid: $150
Range:$200-300

This Beaver Ame pint is made from an almost colourless glass with a faint straw tone. Super clean jar. Very strongly embossed. Best possible example! Aqua glass insert and a good zinc band.

FJ014 “Ghost” Beaver Imp Pint
Minimum Bid: $100
Range:$150-200
Sold: $100

This jar is evidence that the glass factory got every last jar out of a mold before replacing it. The “ghost” Beaver is simply one where the animal is nearly invisible. With this jar, you can just make out an ear and a bit of the curve of a leg. The word is quite clearly embossed. The colour of this jar is clear with a very faint hint of amethyst. Heavy internal stain but no damage to speak of. Clear glass insert and a good zinc band.

FJ015 Ball Blue Star 1/2 Gal
