FJ001 Beaver Ame Quart Yellow

This Beaver Ame quart is an amazing colour. The glass is a bright yellow with lots of swirls. There is a strong greenish tone that comes out in certain light conditions. A rare and spectacular colour as you can see from the pics. Strongly embossed, both the animal and the word. Near mint condition. Good clarity and gloss. Well ground lip. There are four 1/4″ lines along the base edge left side. Beaver button style lid in clear glass. A top shelf jar in every respect!


FJ002 Left-facing Beaver Pint

A beautiful example of the left-facing Beaver pint. Pale grey blue coloured glass with a subtle milky swirl. 1/2″ shallow area of flaking off the machined lip. Also a very faint bruise. Minor stuff. Otherwise excellent with strong embossing and good clarity to the glass.


FJ003 Maple Leaf Crown 1/2 Gal

A rare 1/2 gal Maple Leaf Crown. A beautiful jar with plenty of character. Some nice whittle to the glass and plenty of seed bubbles. An early machine-made jar which exhibits the usual straw-lines. Below the crown is a sm letter “D”. Note there are variations with different mould letters. Check yours, if you are lucky enough to have one. Near mint condition with only minor imperfections.

An excellent example of the Beehive 1/2 gal. Aqua coloured glass. Some light internal stain, mostly along the base edge. Otherwise quite a clean example. At rear there are a number of straw lines. There are also straw lines in the machined-lip. These lines are in-manufacturing and common in jars of this type. Strongly embossed. A great looking example of this scarce jar.

A beautiful Beehive quart jar in light green aqua coloured glass. Good gloss. Perfect lip. Some light stain in the very bottom that would likely clean.

Another gorgeous Beehive quart jar but this time with more of a blue tint to the glass. Absolutely dead mint. Perfect in every way.


FJ007 The Ideal Imp 1/2 gal

The Ideal Imp 1/2 gal. Pale icy blue colour. Near mint condition. A slight bit of internal stain, mostly rear and up into the shoulder. High gloss exterior. Character to spare. A wavy line runs around the body near the base. Base edge has several inclusions, including one large imperfection. These are in-manufacturing. Perfect ground lip. A terrific example of this scarce jar.

Beaver Ame pint. Bright green coloured glass. Overall excellent condition. Couple of real tiny grinding flakes off the mouth. Some light rubbing to the shoulder. The animal is strongly embossed, but the word is a bit light. Aqua glass insert.

FJ012 “Ghost” Beaver Imp Pint

This Beaver Imp pint is evidence that the glass factory got every last jar out of a mould before replacing it. The “ghost” Beaver is simply one where the animal is nearly invisible. With this jar, you can just make out an ear and a bit of the curve of a leg. The word is clearly embossed. The colour of this jar is a very pale grey blue. Heavy internal stain and a very roughly ground lip. Aqua glass insert and a good zinc band.

Hamilton Glassworks 1 quart clamp jar. Pale icy blue coloured glass. Mint condition. Matching glass insert (light stain) and an original clamp. A super clean example of this jar.


FJ014 Coronet Set Amethyst

A set of Coronet jars in amethyst coloured glass. The 1/2 gal has a 1″ in-manufacturing flaw left side rear. Looks to be a long burst bubble. 1/2″ star at rear near base. Sounds far worse than it looks. Matching SCA coloured glass insert. The quart has some heavy scrapes and scratches (mostly rear) and a sm bruise base edge front. The pint is the best of the lot. Near mint. The 1/2 gal and pint are both Ex Ken Judges Collection.

Canadian style Mason quart. Pale icy blue coloured glass. Dead mint. Original Genuine Boyd Cap for Mason jars. This is a scarce jar in uncommonly good condition. Best one I have handled.

Pansy 1/2 gal. Pale icy blue colour. Near mint condition. Rough ground lip with a few flakes. Good glass clarity and gloss. Well embossed with obvious peening behind the PANSY. #267 on the base. Correct glass insert in the same icy blue colour. 1/4″ flake off the insert edge. An excellent example of this scarce jar in a really attractive colour.

A pair of Beaver Ame 1/2 gal jars in clear glass. Note the different styles of embossed beaver. Both near mint with the tiniest wisp of stain and a few light scratches. Both have well ground lips. Both have the correct Beaver style button lids. The right one is base embossed #4.

Well embossed. Perfect lip. Far right has a faint yellow tinge. Rough ground lip. A bit of stain. Light embossing. Note the “R” is straight and not curled at the end like the previous two.
